Ironwood Animals

Ironwood is the hardest wood native to North America.  It can no longer be harvested so they can only use pieces that fall naturally from the trees.  Indigenous people in the Southwest then push the pieces of wood into a moving saw blade with their hands to get the size and shape desired.  Details are then hand carved.
